The Aberdeen Wings acquired forward Davis DeKorte from the Springfield Jr. Blues yesterday.
DeKorte joins the Wings after scoring 7 goals and 12 assists for the Springfield Jr. Blues of the NAHL. DeKorte was an assistant captain with the Jr. Blues. He has spent time in the NAHL with the Janesville Jets, now-defunct Kalamazoo Jr. Wings, and the Springfield Jr. Blues.
From 2009-2011, DeKorte was a teammate of current Aberdeen Wings forward #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI) as they played for the Lansing Capitals U18 (AAA). DeKorte played in the playoffs in 2012 for Kalamazoo and 2013 for Springfield.
The Aberdeen Wings are on the ice tonight against the Minot at the Odde Ice Center. General admission tickets are $10, reserved seating $12. Also this Saturday the Wings will host the Brookings Blizzard.
