The Aberdeen Wings proud members of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce that Wings forward & NAHL Top Prospect Evan Rochowiak has announced his commitment to play hockey at Umass Boston!  Evan came to the Wings midway through this past season from the Odessa Jackalopes.  Evan played in 55 games over the season putting up 14 goals and 14 assists and 104 penalty minutes.  In 2 games played in the Top Prospects Tournament Evan had a goal.  Umass Boston plays division III hockey in the NEHC Conference.  Last season they had a record of  17-10 including going 11-7 in conference play.

“I’m happy to be joining the UMass-Boston family and looking forward to getting the season started! It was an easy choice with the coaches, team, campus, and the city of Boston. Coach Belisle and Coach Schneider hold the hockey program to a high standard and I look to continue to build on the foundation they’ve created. I’d like to thank the Odde family and the Aberdeen Wings staff and my teammates for giving me the opportunity to move on to the next level.”

“Evan was a great addition to this family, he plays and Carries himself like a pro. Evan is made up with the work ethic and that will pay dividends at the next level. We wish Evan the very best in his future.” Head Coach Scott Langer
