Johnson Named To World Junior A Team

Former Aberdeen Wings player Steven Johnson has been selected for the World Junior A Challenge to represent Team USA in Nova Scotia in November. The tournament will feature the best amateur players from Canada, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Russia, and the United States. Johnson had 23 points in 59 games last season with Aberdeen Wings.

"It's a tremendour honor and opportunity for Steve to represent his country at the World Junio A Challenge," said Coach Travis Winter. "We are proud and excited for Steve and wish him great luck at the event." Coach Winter also stated that "it again shows that this league does a great job of developing players".

22 players from 8 different states were selected to this year's World Junior A Challenge, USA Team.
