Heller Leads Wings To 3-0 Win Over Minot

The Aberdeen Wings (5-2-1) opened a two-game weekend series with the Minot Minotauros (2-5-1) on the road Friday night. Right away in the first period, Wings center #15 Jordan Heller (C-Bemidji, MN) scored on a rebound shot from #11 TJ Roo (F-Coon Rapids, MN) who got the assist. The Wings were only on the penalty kill once in the 1st period. The second period would be a lot of back and forth play between the Wings and Minotauros. In the 3rd period, Wings forward #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI) scored to go up 2-0 with assists from #19 Colin O’Neill (F-Odenton, MD) and #24 Jonathan Grebosky (F-Pittsburgh, PA). With less than one minute left, #15 Jordan Heller scored an empty net goal. Wings goalie Chad Catt stopped all 30 of 30 shots on goal. The Aberdeen Wings now improve to (6-2-1) on the season.
