The North American Hockey League announced their Stars of the Week for the first weekend in November. The Aberdeen Wings were represented with 2nd Star #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI) and an honorable mention from #11 TJ Roo (F-Champlain Park, MN).
The Aberdeen Wings were only featured in one game over the weekend against rival Bismarck Bobcats. Haak scored two goals in the 5-4 overtime win including the game winner. Roo had a goal and two assists in the game.
In the second period at the 9:01 mark, Haak broke the 1-1 tie scoring a goal with the assist from Roo and #15 Jordan Heller (F-Bemidji, MN). Also in the second period, #4 Jake Horton (D-Plymouth, MN) would score with the assist coming from Roo and Heller again. In the third period, Roo would score his own goal with assists from Heller and #3 Daniel Billett (D-Highlands Ranch, CO). With the score 4-4 going into overtime, Kyle Haak would score the game winner on an assist from Wings assist leader #20 Dillon Eichstadt (D-Bemidji, MN).
#16 Kyle Haak currently has 3 goals and 3 assists on this season, while #11 TJ Roo recorded his 4th goal of the season and has 9 assists.
The Aberdeen Wings are at home this weekend both Friday and Saturday against the new expansion Minnesota Wilderness at the Odde Ice Center.
