Your Aberdeen Wings will host the Minot Minotauros tonight in a winner advances game 5. The two teams have split each of the 1st two weekends with Aberdeen getting 2 Friday night wins and Minot coming away with the Saturday games. Now it’s a Monday and whoever comes away with the win tonight will be advancing to the division finals to take on the Austin Bruins. If history has taught us anything in this series, the team that scored 2 or more goals should be in control of the game. Opening weekend at the Odde had each team shut out the other and this past weekend the scored were 4-1 & 3-1. Aberdeen will look to get back to what was successful for them in the regular season, that being shots on goal and strong defense with solid goaltending. So far Matt Vernon has been between the pipes for the Wings, during the regular season Matt & Gabe Vinal split time.
