The North American Hockey League (NAHL) named their STARS OF THE WEEK for week 2 of the 2013-2014 season. On the list were a couple of Aberdeen Wings players.
Earning the 2nd Star honors was Wings defenseman #20 Dillon Eichstadt (D-Bemidji, MN) for his play in a weekend series against the Brookings Blizzard. Eichstadt had 5 assists over the weekend from the blue line. On Saturday for Aberdeen's home opener, he had 4 assists in the game. Eichstadt is currently the assists leader in the entire North American Hockey League (NAHL).
Also receiving honorable mention was Wings forward #21 Bjorn Sigurdarson (F-Reykjavik, Iceland). He also had 5 assists over the weekend, earning 3 on Friday night and 2 on Saturday night. Currently Sigurdarson is 4th in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) in assists behind teammate #20 Dillon Eichstadt.
The Aberdeen Wings are at home against rival Bismarck Bobcats on Friday, October 4th at "The Odde". Doors open at 5:30, puck drops at 7:15.
