Aberdeen 2 @ Minot 1 – A third period goal from Nathan Burke propelled the Wings to a 2-1 victory over the Minot Minotauros. The Wings came through on the power play as both of their tallies came with the extra skater. Adam Pitters scored his fourth goal of the season in the win for the Wings. Grant Loven on the other hand scored the only goal for Minot. Gabe Vinal picked up win number four as he denied 27 Minotauro chances. Jack Robbel was stuck with the loss, he stopped 20 shots.

Aberdeen 7 @ Minot 1 – Nathan Burke’s two goals and two assists propelled the Aberdeen offense to a seven goal outburst as they finished off a weekend sweep of the Minotauros. John Sladic also had a four point night, one goal and 3 assists. Nic Sicoly notched a goal and two assists while Zach Noble, and Jack Kelly each registered a goal and an assist. Joe Strada also scored in the win. Gabe Vinal had a relatively easy night only having to stop 15 shots. Andrew Kangas scored the only goal for Minot.

The Wings have a home and home next weekend with Brookings.  Aberdeen will travel Friday and be at the Odde Ice Center Saturday.  Saturday is Military Appreciation Night and all active or retired Military personnel will receive FREE admission, family’s will receive a reduced price ticket at the door!
