Aberdeen 1 @ Austin 2 – Behind 33 saves from Mads Sogaard, the Austin Bruins won their 3rd straight game thanks to a 2-1 home win over the Aberdeen Wings. It was the Wings who snagged the early lead as just over three minutes into the game Adam Pitters scored his 2nd goal of the season. Later in the opening period, Benito Posa scored for the Bruins to even the game at 1-1. Late in the 2nd period Valdemar Ahlberg scored on the power play in what would be the eventual game-winning goal. Wings goalie Gabe Vinal made 23 saves in the loss.

Aberdeen 2 @ Austin 5 – The Bruins completed a weekend home sweep of the Wings and ran their winning streak to four straight games thanks to a 5-2 win on Saturday. Five different players scored and Alex Schilling made 25 saves in the win. The Bruins scored the only goal of the 1st period as Andy Willis lit the lamp for his 5th goal of the year. The Wings tied the game early in the 2nd period thanks to a goal from Adam Pitters, but the Bruins seized control thanks to three straight goals from Benito Posa, Valdemar Ahlberg and Alex Mella to take a 4-1 lead. In the 3rd period, Trey Bagwell scored for the Wings, while Sviatoslov Kuchynski scored for Austin. Gabe Vinal took the loss, making 8 saves.

The Wings return home this Friday & Saturday to host the Minnesota Wilderness.  $10 general admission tickets are on sale now at all 4 C-Express locations in Aberdeen.  Friday night will feature a kids zone sponsored by NSU Sports Marketing Class!  Special ticket/meal combo tickets will be available for kids at the Boys & Girls Club, Aberdeen Family YMCA & YDC!  Saturday will be our annual costume contest and kids candy toss after the game!
