Carroll Commits to DI Mankato!

Aberdeen Wings Proud Members of the NAHL are pleased to announce that Andy Carroll fresh off his performance at the Top Prospects Tournament has committed to Minnesota State Mankato to play Division I Hockey!  Andy is in his first year with the Aberdeen Wings thus far this season the 5’10 172 pound defensemen has played in 47 games acquiring 35 points on 5 goals and 30 assists.  Andy is the reigning NAHL Central Division Star of the Week!  Before coming to the Wings Andy played 4 seasons with Northfield High School in Minnesota.  During that time Andy played in 94 games and had 54 points (13 goals, 41 assists).  He also spent time with the Sioux Falls Junior Stampede AAA last season.   “Andy Carroll is everything the Aberdeen Wings want in a player and a person.  Andy brings the work ethic needed to excel at the next level, he is a high character kid that wants to improve each and everyday.  The Mavericks are getting a quality player and a first class individual.” – Head Coach Scott Langer

Andy will join Minnesota State Mankato after juniors.  The Mavericks play in the WCHA.  This season MSU was 22-13-4 overall with a 15-9-4 conference record.
