The Aberdeen Wings were back at the Odde Ice Center Friday night, and with the temps dropping outside the Wings were heating up inside.  Kevin Fitzgerald got the Wings on the board late in the 1st with assists going to Tyler Bossert & Shawn Knowlton, giving the Wings a 1-0 lead heading into the intermission.  During the first intermission Wings Owner Greg Odde presented a check from an earlier jersey auction to the Executive Director of Camp Dream Makers Rose Kraft.  The Wings fans helped to raise $12,950 for the camp.  After the first intermission festivities the Wings were back to doing what they do best and it was Kevin Fitzgerald getting his 2nd goal of the evening on the power play.  Assisting on the power play goal were Carson Dimoff and Andy Carroll.  The 3rd period belonged to Wings Captain Gage Mackie as he was able to get 2 goals of his own.  His first came at the 13:22 mark and was also a power play goal.  Assisting was Carson Dimoff.  Mackie added his 2nd with an empty netter, assisting were Shawn Knowlton and Jack Kelly giving the Wings a 4-0 Friday night victory!  In net for the Wings was Forbes Ploszaj who stopped all 28 of the shots he faced.

The Wings return to action Saturday when they once again host the Brookings Blizzard.  Saturday will be the Wings annual Christmas food/toy drive!  Bring a non-perishable food item or unopened toy and you’ll receive $2 off admission at the door!  Feel free to wear your favorite ugly Christmas Sweater too!  Doors open at 5:30 and the puck drops at 7:15!
